Tonight marks night 4 with sister in her crib and out of our room. In her pack and play next to our room, she had started waking up almost every hour. As much as I needed sleep, I was sad to think about her sleeping in a room by herself!
Lucky for me (and her) on the first night, Will slept in her room on the floor next to her crib. Well... he slept there for most of the night. We caught him unlocking the front door and almost sleepwalking right outside! When directed back to sleep, he went back into his own bed. Surprisingly, though, she slept all night! I snuck back in at 6 am and brought her back to bed with me for a quiet cuddle before the day started. On night 2, Jared stood guard. She cried around midnight without waking her biggest brother; I fed her and put her back to bed until morning.
Last night, with no brothers she was inconsolable. I eventually moved her into the pack n play in our room. She restlessly slept most of the night with me. So... What made the difference? Is it a brother, perhaps? We'll see...
Tonight - Jared volunteered to sleep by her side again and she is peaceful as can be. I'm thinking that Sister doesn't want to sleep alone! We may have to do some room re-arranging!
