Tim and I pulled out the beginning of the Christmas decoration bins two weekends ago when my cousin, nicole, was over after a soccer game. I've poked around at it, but today got down to serious business and FINISHED!
My sweet mom came over today with her sewing machine and we whipped out 6 new burlap stockings for my mantel. I can't believe we actually got them all done. I'm super excited to have these to tie in a bit better with the paint color on our fireplace (our standard red & green ones were NOT cutting it!). I searched through several pics and found a few styles we copied. Aren't they darling??! What a blessing my mom is. $6 in burlap and what probably equated to hundreds of dollars in expert sewing help were I to be paying her by the hour! Lucky for me she let me pay her with a glass of merlot!
It's after 1 am and I just finished the last of the kitchen cleanup (it was a total disaster since I was focused on crafting with my mom all day - I'm posting a pic as evidence!) Hooray for being done! No more boxes or decor to worry about until January when I'll get to put it all away! Yay for Christmas!!
