So ... the day is over and I am getting ready to turn in for the night. Truth be told, there are several things on the list that didn't get done today. Although I did get some marketing done and the silver polished, there is a lot of stuff that will have to wait until tomorrow. For example: the preschool application for Jared so he can go to Scottsdale Christian next year will have to wait, the Quick Books file that needs to be sent to the accountant for one entity I manage and the 2008 tax prep I need to do for another are also back on the list for tomorrow ...
Want to hear the good news?
The important stuff, the stuff that couldn't wait until tomorrow ... those things I did do. I took the boys to the park with their friend and we played sports, we talked about the Lord and retold Bible stories, we made up a fight song for our family - a Barrett Family Anthem, if you will. We rode bikes to the pool and had squirt gun fights because the water was still too cold to swim in ... we made dinner.
I can say that today I did order my day around my priorities. My family is happier for it ... and I have peace. I can't promise I will always do it right, but man ... I sure am going to try.
