How great is spring time in the desert? It is so exciting for us native Arizonans to have our days in the 70's and even more so, the deserts be covered with thick green growth after the great rains we have had. Perfect recipe for the Sunday afternoon family hike we took last week. We are so lucky to live walking distance to Lookout Mountain (behind the boys). Jared calls it "Our Mountain" because we see it so often.
There is something about being outside with the boys in God's creation that just opens up conversation to share about the Lord from the Word. This hike had us talking about staying on "the path" and how God's word is a light to our feet and a lamp to our path, showing us which way to go.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119: 105

I love this pic above of Will charging up the trail to catch his brother. Total confidence - so his personality.

Coming down, though, Will needed some reassurance and coaxing from same big brother to make it back down. Although this doesn't look too steep, its pretty rocky and a little more of a grade than Will wanted to brave alone. Isn't it great they have each other?

Can you have too many pictures of Daddy's holding hands with their precious kiddos? Love this man.

Happy boy. He LOVES spending time as a family.
For good measure, I thought I'd post some pics of Jared's new T-ball pants and shoes. I took him last week to get totally fitted out for his games and he was so psyched! He changed into his gear the second he woke up from naps so his Daddy would see when he got home. And, Daddy, of course, had to throw the ball in the yard with the boys for a bit to celebrate. So cute.
