Will's 3rd Birthday Party!

Finally - to post a few pics of Will's 3rd birthday party! We are getting settled in our house after the move ... its time to post some blogs to update our records before this sweet new babe makes his appearance!

Will had a FABULOUS birthday in California. Probably the first either would remember celebrating with Tim's side of the family (Grandma Kim had a 1st birthday for Jared in Hollister). Tim's sweet family went all out to make it a great time. We stayed in Gilroy at Tim's Nonie's house (his dad's mom) and she was gracious enough to host both sides of the family for the party. They were all fabulous - they all pitched in a brought or made food, some came from as far as 2 hours away, Tim's aunt and cousin even rented a bounce house for the kids. Tim's mom and aunts even had most everything cleaned up before I even realized what was happening!

Seriously - I should drive to CA for all the boys' birthdays! ;-)

Tim's cousin, Amanda, stopped by on patrol to give her happy birthdays to the big boy. (Jared had a scary 9-1-1 incident a week earlier, so all the police officers on duty that day made an effort to stop in!)

Will was excited about everything to do with it being his birthday - he loved being the one to open the presents - and made sure to try to share with Jared and Kaden - their cousin. Look how excited he was for these shorts! ;-)

All in all it was a fabulous day. We all felt so loved by Tim's family and so enjoyed spending time with everyone. We normally make our trip out for Thanksgiving, but given our due date of October 5th for Barrett boy #3, Thanksgiving wasn't going to work for a long (12 hr) drive this year. It was so great to be able to make this trip and it was so fun that it fell on Will's birthday!

After spending a few days at Nonie's in Gilroy visiting with her and Tim's extended family, we headed up to Lake Tahoe for a few more days with Tim's parents and some close friends before driving home. The timing of it all made for a little craziness since we were in the middle of a move and remodel, but we are all so glad we were able to go. Such fabulous memories! ;-)
