Soccer Fans ...

I'm finally getting around to posting a few last pictures of our inaugural St. Francis soccer season ...

Jared was definitely one of the bigger kids on our Pre-K "rookie" team. He was super fast and loved running up and down the field with his new friends. Next year, he'll graduate to the "Collegiate" level and play other Kinder-gardeners.

Will spent a lot of time in the "outfield" this season. It was pretty funny to watch him wander off with his head in the clouds. Every so often the action would come right past him and he'd get in on the play. He didn't quite get the team sport aspect of it this year - he mostly like playing against his friends and brother on his same team. He loved being part of the group though and getting his own uniform and cleats - he's pretty happy to do anything his big brother does!

I did hear that Will did score a goal, though, this season - not bad for being 3!! Unfortunately, it was the Saturday I was in the hospital with baby Caleb so I missed it, but I think the intro to the sport this year was great. Next year, he'll have his own rookie team since Jared will move up. I'm already looking forward to seeing how that goes!

After the last game we had a post-season celebration at Streets of New York. The boys had a blast at their pizza party with all their new soccer friends.
The dads had a great time too with some celebratory pitchers. We definitely scored with the "fun team." I think we enjoyed the other parents as much as our boys enjoyed their kids. Tim and these three dads pretty much closed out the party ... pretty sure they sat here just like this, refilling and emptying those pitchers, for over two hours. Impressive with a room full of little boys!

Soccer was fun, but its also nice now that its over to get a little Saturday morning break for a while. Up next ... T-ball!
