Neighborhood Happy Hour

Tim and I have started a little weekly tradition with our neighbors and friends. On Thursday evenings we have neighborhood happy hour. Our families get together and share a dinner of appetizers and wine, we let the kids play, and we spend time visiting with each other.

Before the weather got too hot ... it looked like this:

And we put cones out at the entrance to our cul-de-sac and the kids rode bikes in the street and played on our front lawn like this:

Now that summer has officially begun, we're going to try to keep it going in the backyard with the help of our pool to cool us all off. Last night we enjoyed our first backyard NHH and it looked like this:

and this ...

Christine brought over this super fun water slide for the kids to climb and play on. How fun does that thing look for the 6 and under set??

Sitting in our yard last night as the kids laughed and played, swam, and were tossed in the water by the daddies ... while sipping on wine and enjoying the conversation of friends, I couldn't help but think how truly blessed we are. I love this good life.

Come join us one of these Thursdays! :-)

Happy kiddos! (from left: Will, Caleb, Cora Harding, and Jared)
