Update on Caleb's room...

I was finally able to stop into the fabric store today to pick up one of those shag rugs I talked about in this post. Today's gross humid, hot weather was made even more sticky by the fact that the fabric store's air conditioning is STILL out (it was out last time I stopped in too!).

I have sad news.

They were sold out of the one I wanted. I decided to "try" my second choice and bring home the green one knowing I can return it within 14 days if it doesn't work.

I did a little re-arranging and moved the changing table back into his room and tried to remove some of the red. I still have several boxes behind that rocking chair, the art easel, and perhaps the rocking chair itself to move out. I'm trying to keep the bed in there even though the room is small because it really does come in handy.

Hmmmm...

I think my initial thoughts are that (despite the cute baby in the picture), the green just isn't all that cute - especially with the saltillo tile I have to work with.

Actually, the rug reminds me of a big patch of grass in the middle of his room. In this pic, the green shag definitely looks like some indoor/outdoor carpet.

Unless you can convince me otherwise, pretty sure this little beauty is going back to the store!
