This is the last belly picture I have before Anna Jean made her arrival. The Tuesday this picture was taken was also my last Tuesday at the office where I've worked for my Uncle Pat in commercial real estate for the past eight years. For the past 2, I've been lucky enough to work just one day a week plus some emails from home the rest of the week. This Tuesday I had a midwife appointment (3 cm) before work, and after I cleaned out my desk ... Bittersweet.
Sweet because I would be home full time with only the rentals/property management to run from home. Anna Jean will be the first babe I don't have to leave. Ever. Sad too because that one day has been a good break to get out of the home, clear my head and stay abreast of the Phoenix market. I'll miss seeing Pat and Karen every week too!
After this picture was taken, I was home to enjoy the week with my boys. I had prayed for months that I would make it until April 27th when Tim's Aunt and Uncle would arrive from Modesto, CA to help us with the boys. As it turned out, Tim's Aunt Elizabeth ruptured a disk in her back and had EMERGENCY SPINE SURGERY on the day this picture was taken. Poor thing! So, even though they would not be coming, I felt the Lord urging me to be OPEN to this little one and pray she would come when she was supposed to - as opposed to "holding it" for too long and having an enormous baby. Ha ha!
Suffice it to say, by Friday night - I was READY for baby girl to come. It was truly the first time I'd been READY (as in no more being pregnant!) with any of my four babies. I repented for silently thinking other women were wimps at the end of their pregnancies! Because, this time - physically - I was DONE! :-)
