Cousins and Celebrations

My adorable and amazing Grandpa turned NINETY FIVE on April 20th.  Yes, 95.

To celebrate we threw him a party for all of his friends and family at the Arizona Country Club.  My cousin, Nicole, came out from Oregon to celebrate.  She made the time on Saturday to come over and hang for a bit with us.  It was a crazy day as we had just finished a baseball game and we had a tenant move in to officiate, AND Tim had to go get tires - BUT she was a trooper and hung through it all.

The boys love her.  So do I.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of her come July when she moves back here for good.

And the entire family.  My mom has 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  They all made it, as well as their kids.  Big group.  So fun.  My grandpa was married to my Babja for 62 years before she passed away.  At 95 he is still an airplane flying, bridge playing, fun loving, scratch golfer.  It was a joy to celebrate him in exactly the way that he wanted.

Cute story - Jared made Dja Dja a card in in it he wrote, "95 is my favorite number" without any coaching from me whatsoever.  Then it dawned on me, 95 is Lightning McQueen's number!  Happy Lightning McQueen birthday, Dja Dja.  Make we all make it there half as well as you.
