...We celebrated the 3rd (or 4th) annual Barrett-Riccio-Utterback family Christmas Party last week. I say "4th" because this is the 4th Christmas we have spent in this home with our lovely Pointe Golf neighbors. I say "3rd" because that is only how many years of pictures I have to prove it.
It's been a blessing to see our families grow and raise kids together. Christmas has been a special time for us to share a meal (yum - Lisa's lasagna) and good company, get some big laughs with our hilarious children, sing Christmas carols, watch the kids dance to the music, and just enjoy each other. The kids had great fun this year playing their instruments while Micah led on the guitar. Big props to Micah for keeping time and tune with all the "help" of the exuberant maracas, tambourines, and other noise makers!
Looking at these pics, I can't help but be blessed at how well loved all our kids our, not just by their own parents, but by this sweet community of friends. Every time I looked up over the course of the evening, it seems like one or another of our kiddos was being loved on by a parent that was not their own. I love that our kids are so comfortable among these 3 families of Believers and friends that we have all become like family ourselves.
Its good to be friends. Its good to be neighbors.
