This past week we had an unexpected, but totally appreciated blessing. "Nana Mary-Jane" (actually she is Joshua, Joy, and AmyLynn's REAL Nana and just our "adopted" Nana) called us up to tell us she would be doing just a few swim lessons and asked if we wanted to participate! Of course, we jumped right in. We have been so blessed to have Nana Mary Jane teach our swim lessons to our boys the past several summers - since they were both babies. As a result of her tremendous teaching and lots of practice, these two are little fish! We were so excited to have another week of lessons with "Nana" to brush up on the boys' swim skills and take their swimming to next level with an intro to strokes and side breathing ... we were NOT disappointed! ;-)
The goggles were quite popular - Will frequently wore his when there was no pool in sight and both boys developed the habit of putting them on at our house at the same time they donned their swimsuits ... and wearing them the entire way TO the pool.
We LOVE "Nana" Mary-Jane and are so grateful she has given us the gift of swim. Did you know Nana has taught swim lessons every summer since she was 15??? We figured this year was out with her PACKED schedule attending to her actual grandkids in Seattle, Payson, and China, but we are sooo blessed to have had her spend her time with us for a week! So much improvement by both the boys.
Thanks so much "NANA!"
