Most of you know that Jared's birthday is unfortunately placed two days after Christmas, 5 days before New Years ... December 27th. We celebrate in January. Today was his third birthday party. Sooo fun.
We were driving home tonight from our good friends', Christy & Nathan, house tonight after watching the Cards when I told Jared how proud I am of him.
I said a lot of things, but specifically, "Jared, you are becoming such a nice little boy, we are so proud of you."
To which Jared replies, "No. Don't tell me I am a little boy, can you talk about how tall I am?"
And to which, I happily obliged.
Funny how we all need to hear our compliments in our own language. Note to self ... if you are going to give the three year old a compliment, make sure you include something about how big, tall, or super duper strong he is. Point taken.
Love that boy. Love being his Mommy.
