Quote of the Day ...

This morning, Jared and I read through the story of David and Goliath in our devotions. Afterward, we discussed it as I tried to draw the connection that the same God that helped David overcome David's fears will help Jared overcome his.

I asked him what he was afraid of.

Jared says, "Scorpions and monsters."

I followed up with, "What can you do to help you overcome those fears?" (I think you can all probably see where I was trying to go here)

Jared replied, matter of fact, "Well, I am not supposed to kill scorpions or monsters. Daddy kills scorpions and monsters. And, if this house had eyes that would be scary, too."

Lesson learned ... Daddy's help us overcome our fears and three year olds are awesome. ;-)
