Seriously, I do.
Tim was invited to hike the Grand Canyon with a group of guys from our church several months back. The date was just 4 weeks past our due date and I really wanted him to go, but I was hesitant about braving a weekend by myself with a newborn and 2 preschoolers ... Solution? See if Heather would come out for the weekend to spend some time with me and the boys. And, she did!
Heather and I have been best of friends since college. We were friends before we both served the Lord - she was instrumental in leading me to my faith and has been such an encouragement in it ever since. We've walked through countless milestones and seasons of life together over these past 15 years of friendship. I've always tried to be friends with people I want to be like and Heather definitely fits into that category. She is wise, gracious, and kind - a great wife to Anthony and a terrific mother to Adia and Abraham. I am always encouraged in these pursuits and in my relationship with the Lord when we get to spend time together or talk on the phone - which we do frequently.
Although we haven't lived in the same city since we were roommates in Lake Tahoe ten years ago, we do our best to see each other in person at least once or twice a year. It is ALWAYS good to see her and her beautiful family.
Heather and Abe flew in on Thursday afternoon and stayed for 4 great days. She is so calm and fun, good combo for this season in life! We had a great time...
It was a WARM November weekend - warm enough to go spend a morning poolside at the Pointe ...
