The upside of taking Will to the ER for his facial injury is that we were able to hopefully circumvent what could have been a pretty serious issue. When Candy asked Will to show her his owie, he lifted up his shirt to show her a blemish on his back that has really been bugging him. We noticed a week or so ago what we thought was just a pretty serious pimple, turns out that it is a possible staph infection. We went home from PCH with stitches and a topical antibiotic to apply to the area this week. I'm grateful for how the Lord covers us. Who takes their kid to the doctor for a pimple? It could have gone on for a while before we took him to be seen.
This morning, Tim took Will to our pediatrician to get his stitches removed - which weren't ready yet - new appointment is Monday.
After deciding the stitches needed a few more days, Dr. Padrez took a look at his back and was a little concerned about what he saw - you know, the pimple? I now have 2 different antibiotics to give him at alternating intervals throughout the day to try to kill the infection.
AND I have more laundry. We need to be careful not to let it spread to the rest of us.
I know I'm being dramatic here ... if we do good at handwashing, and cloth washing, and bathe the boys separately, etc. etc. its all going to be fine...
I just feel like I'm ready to be caught up (whatever that looks like).
I really need the Lord's grace.

Praying for Grace in abundance for you.
Oh man...so sorry about this. Grateful that it was caught soon, but it is a stressor in so many ways. I know Will is going to be perfectly well soon, and you will have abundant energy and grace in Jesus name! AND....no one else will catch this!!! Love you.
