Happy Mother's Day ...

I had a great Mother's Day yesterday ... I am so blessed to be a mommy and so grateful to have such a good life. It was a wonderful day to enjoy my family.

Saturday night I had the big hint about the choo choo train card and I have to say Jared and Daddy really outdid themselves with this year's homemade card. I mean seriously, how cute is this??

In the morning before church, I sat and drank my coffee (while it was still mostly hot) and the boys brought over the card, some flowers from the garden (LOVE Will's selection of the half dead geranium - so cute) ... even a green smoothie (which we definitely needed after the ballgame food the night before!). AND Tim made us all breakfast and even cleaned it up!

Church was great, they had a special slideshow for all the mommies and roses. Precious.

My mom and dad did brunch after church at their home with my sister and grandfather. Delicious quiches! After some great naps, we enjoyed one of Tim and I's favorite warm weather spots - the comfy chairs at the Desert Ridge Splash pad. The kids had a blast, Tim and I had a chance to talk, and there was even a warm fire for the boys to warm up in after ...

Wait? Did I mention we had ice cream? I think we have definitely hit the sweets quota and can cool it in that department now, but it was super fun nonetheless. Jared, especially, was VERY excited about his cotton candy ice cream. The boys came here with Grandma Kim and Papa Bob when they were in town last month so they definitely knew where to go and what to get!

Great day. I am so thankful for these two little ones (soon to be three) that have made me a mommy.
