Wow... its hard to believe that Jared's entire first T-ball season is over tomorrow! He has his last game as a Giant at St. Francis tomorrow at 8am. Its been a fun time for all of us, he did a great job learning the ropes at the new sport. Although, its been fun going to his games, it will be nice to have some more Saturday mornings at home. Getting the kids up and out the door by 7:15am on a Saturday is no easy feat! Its hard to imagine how we'll do it with a handful of kiddos heading in different directions.
That said - I am looking forward to the next season of sports and I am really looking forward to Will getting to play alongside his brother. He's been a trooper this go-round, but he is READY to play! Now that he's potty trained, he is "IN" from now on!
Jared taking in a snack from the batting lineup.
Like I said, Will is READY to play. Even if it means trying out for the opposing team!
Jared and his new buddy, Austin, getting ready to field some balls. (catching the ball is a BIG deal to this team of little ones. There were more than a few tears shed over the course of the season about who did and more importantly, who DID NOT get the ball. Oh the trials of being 4!)
This was one of the highlights every Saturday - the "post game treat". Both the boys had their fill of snowcones and Popsicles. Nothing like a little high fructose corn syrup to start the morning off right! Ha ha!
Jared on 3rd base ... ready for that ball!
Run, buddy! Jared seriously had this hitting thing figured out by the time a few games under his belt! He still had to be reminded to run and actually touch home every time, but he could definitely hit!
I love this ... Tim putting in a few words of wisdom as 3rd base coach. (yes, there were dads and/or moms on every base. All the time.
It was a great season and we are looking forward to a fun game tomorrow followed by a fun family night at the Diamondbacks game where the kids actually get to wear their uniforms and walk around the field before the game. Now if only I could find that camera!!!
