Tim is planning a trip to hike the Grand Canyon in November with some good friends so he decided he had better get some hikes in to get ready. Tim thought it would be fun to take Jared along as he has been dying to go on a real hike (and not be slowed down or turned around because of his little brother). Instead of Camelback (which was Tim's first choice), they settled on Lookout Mountain this morning - in part because of the super hot July weather and in part to give Jared a chance to work up to it by making it to the summit of a smaller mountain.After breakfast and lots of water they took off ... it took them about 2 hours at Jared's pace, but they made it! Some pics ...
They were both HOT when they returned home at 10:30 this morning, as it was probably 100 degrees and humid this morning. Jared's little face was soo red, but he was pretty darn proud of himself. He had such a happy heart to get to spend the one on one time with Daddy and show him just how strong he is.
