Fun Friday at Aunt Cathy's ...

We spent this Fun Friday morning swimming at Aunt Cathy's in North Central Phoenix. Her backyard is so pretty and I always love spending time with her. She really loves all of us and makes us feel so welcome ... example? Even though her kiddos are grown and out of the house now, she bought pool toys just for our boys for when they come over to swim. How fun and thoughtful is that?

After spending the past two weeks by the side of the pool at swim lessons, I figured it was TIME to actually get in the water. Summer heat is here. Morning and evening swims only from now on ... and you can bet I'll be in the water! It was clear from our little swim session today that the past two weeks did yield some improvements in their skills, so that makes me happy. ;-)

After we had a good swim, Aunt Cathy made the boys PB&J's and shared cherries with them. She is much braver than I ... I'm pretty sure I've never bought cherries for the boys (even though I love them). Anyone care to guess why that might be?



Fun way to spend the morning. Glad now to be home ... rest times all around.

Side note - we are looking forward to the other Mahoney's (Uncle Pat, Aunt Kelly, and Shannon) returning to Phoenix from Durango in a few weeks. Both boys asked about Shannon today and are pretty excited she will be back in Phoenix to play and swim soon!
