Quote of the Day...

My boys have been so sweet.

Will is one almost two year old who is pretty much constantly on the move. That said, we are pretty sure his love language is physical affection. He loves to give (and receive) those hugs! Today Nana Mary Jane and Allison stopped by with two of the sweetest girls ever (and more ice cream and wine for me. PTL! I have decided that wine is definitely on the "plus" side of that T-chart).

After they arrived, Will was pretty upset from a traumatic diaper change due to a painful diaper rash ... I wrapped him up bare bottom and all in a blankie and set him on my lap so I could sing to and cuddle him.

This sweet boy ... he sat on my lap with those blankies and cuddled me for well over an hour ... he just wanted to watch Praise Baby over and over again, even after the Utterbacks left. Not even lunch or bananas could distract him from wanting to cuddle with me. I gave in and decided it would be a good day to share a lunch of finger food on the couch so we could cuddle some more.

God is good ... he knows what we need.

When Melinda brought Jared back from his lunch date with Joy Joy, Will had just decided he was done cuddling. I put the boys to bed for naptime - they were tired from their visiting and mid-morning slip and slide fun at the Riccio's.

When I went back to check on Jared he was reading his kid's Bible. He has several, but loves the one Aunt Lucia gave us with all of the illustrations drawn by children. The picture was one little girl's interpretation of one of Jared's memory verses:

But Jesus said, let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them, for such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14

The picture shows Jesus in the middle with little children helping each other all around. One little girl is about to put a band-aid on another boy's hurt elbow.

I reminded Jared what the verse was and he told me about the picture ...

Jared says, "Look, Mommy: that little girl is being the Gamaritan (Good Samaritan) to that little boy! Just like we are supposed to me Gamaritans, too."

Have I mentioned lately how much I love three year olds?

Jared makes me cry! What a sweet little boy. I am thinking of and praying for you and your family. We love you!

Those pictures on the blog are a few weeks old, we were only in AZ for a day and a half. It was a crazy trip. We will be in AZ for longer in July and would love to see you!

Miss you!

He is a sweet little boy. Still a stinker a lot of the time to his little brother - but we are working on it! ;-)

There is something really special about first born sons ... as I am sure you are finding out!

I can't believe everything you guys did in a day and a half!! July would be great, but don't stress. I know how hard it is to squeeze everything in on a short visit. Until we see each other again we will enjoy being a part of each others lives through blogs, emails, texts, and calls.

Love and miss you too.
