Jared asks, "Mom, what are you doing?"
Me, "Just looking for ideas for Caleb's nursery."
Jared, "You could ask me, I've got good ideas."
Cute boy. (one of his ideas earlier at the store was to cover Caleb's walls in carpet so they would look nice and be soft).
The other quote of the day from my other son happened while at the fabric store looking at rugs for Caleb's room. To my horror, Will walked up to the lady working there (about my age) and started poking her belly.
He looked up at her and asked, "Do you have a baby in there?"
She replied, "No"
(As I'm praying, "drop it Will ... drop it!")
He continued, "What happened then? Did you eat too much food?"
She stared blankly (and I am ready to sink through the floor)
Again (as I am dragging him out) ... "Are you sure there's no baby in there?"
Ummm... wow. The lady was nice and said she has her own 5 year old who asks her embarrassing questions. Sheesh! You can bet we had a little talk on the way home about manners and not hurting people's feelings!!
