On this most average and wonderfully unscheduled Thursday we noticed that Daddy left his lunch on the counter. While eating breakfast (after finishing up chores with much less drama than
yesterday), Jared exclaims, "Look! Daddy left his lunch! We should go take it to him. If we don't, he will be STARVING!"
And, so that became our plan for the day.
After doing some laundry, cleaning up and packing lunch, we piled in the van to head to see him downtown.
For a picnic.
Inside.

Because we live in Phoenix and its over 100 degrees outside!
On the way to our spot in the lobby of Chase Tower, the boys spotted the escalators and begged for a ride.

Daddy happily obliged and took them up and down - 3 times ... Will loved riding the "Alzigator" and Jared also enjoyed the "X-calator". They begged him to take them to his office on the 20th floor where we visited with Tim's co-workers and the boys spotted planes from the windows.

After heading home for naps we took a trip to Home Depot for some flowers. Said trip was made memorable only by Jared & Will's awesome choice of footwear. Because when you are (almost) 4 and 5 1/2, even when its over 100 degrees outside, some trips just beg you to wear boots. :-)

Ah, Chase Tower. While Tripp was in the fire academy they had to climb the tower stairs all the way to the top, in full turnouts and oxygen tanks. Good times for him!
Ummm... not exactly my idea of a fun workout! That's crazy!!!
