At 6, Jared told us his ...

Favorite food is "Mac N' Cheese"

His favorite game is "Chutes and Ladders"

His favorite sport to play is "Soccer"

And, at school, if he can't play soccer, his next favorite thing outside is the swings.

Inside his classroom, he likes "everything". And "Homework". (No favorite subject yet, he just likes it all!)

At home, he really likes to "play with his brother".

And ... as for a goal for this year of something new he's never done before that he'd like to do ... well, he'll have to think about it and get back to me. :-)

I think one of his favorite gifts so far is this Cardinals sweatshirt we got for him. He said he's been wanting one! And, although, I never heard him say that specifically, I knew it would bless his little heart to get it - he hasn't taken it off yet!

We had a fun day playing at the house and after Daddy came home we took a trip to Barnes and Noble to get his birthday treat and play trains! Then, it was home to watch Cars 2 which we rented for his birthday (and watched with Daddy at night for the 2nd time).

Oh, Jared! How we love you. Neither your dad or I can believe you are already 6! You are such a sweet, mature, and sensitive little man. Your smile makes us happy and we are so blessed to have you as our firstborn son. You are a good big brother, you have a beautiful heart for the Lord, and you are the one who made me a Mommy. Happy birthday buddy.
