CovCom Christmas Pageant 2011

Tonight we had the FOURTH annual CovCom Pageant. What a sweet tradition this is! Jared graduated this year from the Heavenly Host to become a shepherd with a speaking part ... aren't the little shepherds darling?!

And this was Will's second year as an "angel". I put "angel" in quotes because he was a stinker up there!! We did have a pep talk before the pageant that this was to be the JESUS Show and NOT the Will Show, but he must have forgotten because after his line, he was still wanting to be the center of attention. Oh my goodness, this child likes to keep life interesting ... and we'll leave it at that! :-)
How I love my big boys! And - I'm so grateful for all of Tracy Carson's hard work in bringing this tradition to our church. Just delightful ...

I love looking back at year's past. Last year I was apparently on a blog hiatus, so here are pics that should have been posted (but didn't quite get there) from 2010's Christmas Pageant of my two little heavenly host ...

See Will's face? That's about right for last year too!

And the little Lub! This is how he spent last year's pageant. (which, I must admit was a little easier than our walking, talking, cookie monster this year! Tim didn't catch the second half of the pageant this year as he was chasing Caleb).

And ... for good measure ... Christmas Pageants of years past. It's hard to believe they were all so little. :-)

PS: Thanks to Shannon, we have some great "action" shots of this year's pageant. This picture of partners-in-crime Will and Hugh about sums up my most salient memories of the evening ... aahh, yes, the dangling halo. Will's halo came off as soon as he finished his part and sat down. In more ways than one. :-)
