We don't normally announce baby names. Mostly because we usually wait until after meeting our precious ones to finalize a name. But, in this case we are pretty sure of what this sweet girl's name will be and I'm excited to share it!
ANNA JEAN
"Anna" means grace, favor.
"Jean" means God is gracious.
I've loved the name Anna for a long time, I love Anna's role in the New Testament ... a faithful prophetess, devoted to prayer and fasting, chosen to be one of the those to announce Christ's coming. Our prayer is that our Anna would look to Jesus and that she would truly be a woman of grace, true to her name.
Jean is a family name. It's my middle name, it was my mother's middle name, and her mother's first name. I'm blessed to be having my own daughter to pass it on to.
God is gracious. Truly.
