Family Day in San Diego...

Sunday! Today Tim found us an Acts 29 church to worship at in Carlsbad. The drive is about a half hour north of where we were staying but we figured we could stay and play at the beach there after. We attended The Fields and loved it. I knew we were at the right place when a 15 passenger van pulled up and out piled a large family of bio and adopted kids. Love it. I was thoroughly impressed with the lesson taught to the boys. It was a VERY Gospel centered retelling of Noah and the flood. We tried to grab a quick lunch after church that turned into a bit of a disaster but it's hard to get worked up or complain in 70 degree weather. :-) Our plans changed when we heard that cousin Shannon wanted to go to the beach with us. So, instead of staying in Carlsbad we decided to let the boys nap in the car and headed down the 101 to take the long way to pick her up. The drive was beautiful but we ended up with a few wrong turns and a full two hours later we finally got her. We drove to mission beach and unloaded. Pretty packed and difficult to park here so we didn't have too much beach time. The best part though was truly time with family. After the beach we all headed to my cousin, casey's condo where we kept the Sunday family dinner tradition alive. The boys were in heaven to have more hang time with Casey. So fun.
