"Can I have some more oatmeal, Mommy?"

Which sounds like, "Ka-ai sa-moe oat-moe Mommy?" in the sweetest little 21 month old voice you have ever heard.  Cute.

I've heard it said that people eat less in the summer when its so hot.  Not my crew.  Each of my boys went back for thirds and fourths of oatmeal with cranberries this morning until we polished off the entire LARGE pot of oats.  PLUS - they each had a "before breakfast snack" of a piece of whole grain bread with jam and a handful of grapes.

They've polished off bucket-loads of delicious summer fruit.  As I shared the other night, AFTER dinner they started asking for snacks and consumed 3/4 loaf of fresh bread plus and apple & plum EACH.

Today I went to the store (again) and bought more fruit and veggies and made them promise that for every apple or peach or servings of grapes they ate, they would have at least two full size carrots.

I'm hoping that works because the rate they're eating around here is getting a little scary.

Today was Monday baking day.  My friend, Ashley, came over with her adorable son, Jackson.  We spent time making dough and prepping all its uses throughout the week in my family's meals.  By the time we were done we had pizza for lunch, 4 full size loaves, plus 4 minis, dinner rolls frozen for lassagna later in the week, pizza dough for calzones frozen, and cinnamon rolls prepped for tomorrow's breakfast.  I LOVE my Bosch.  I'm not sure how I'd feed this crew without it.  Afterwards we took all the boys for a swim - aren't Caleb & Jackson so cute?!

And, speaking of cute ... how about Sister?  Already in the bumbo??  9 1/2 weeks.  It IS going by so fast.
