I was making salad for dinner, tonight when I received an an emergency call with my boss. I promptly switched hats and did my best to switch gears put on my "professional" voice.
Then ... I noticed Will "blowing bubbles" in the dog's water. We had just given Daisy new water (as if that is any consolation) and he was very concerned that she wasn't drinking yet - I guess he was "modeling" for her. I am embarrassed to admit, but I didn't discipline him or do anything to make him protest too loudly .. you know, on the phone with the boss and all.
Life is full of trade offs.
