Lest I need any reminder about man's sinful condition, I need only to look to the daily "sippy cup struggle" constantly playing out between my two little angels. My kids are the perfect illustration of Proverbs 9:17 (and if you have more than one small child, you will totally be able to relate!)
"Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!"
What is the deal??? Why must they ALWAYS try to drink from each other's cups?? It is the same water in each cup - I know because I am the one who fills them. Will has totally figured out how to push Jared's buttons and Jared falls for it every time. When Jared isn't paying attention, Will swoops in with his patenting snag, grab, and run routine. Total mayhem ensues.
I have to be honest, my major issue with this generally centers on trying to limit the germ sharing between the two. It seems like one or both is frequently struggling with some sort of runny nose. I am not, however, totally oblivious to the bigger issue at hand.
Why can't they just be happy with drinking the water from their own cups?? Guess it is a good thing for me to think about too...
