Oh man... I am praying for big time favor for my husband. I know that this isn't the first post in the past week that I've asked you all to join me in prayer, but this is a big one. At least to us it is.
Tim was invited by a dear friend to submit an application for Marketplace One's 2nd annual Leadership Institute. This is an amazing group of Christian business leaders in the Phoenix community committed to investing in businesses, people and their communities. The Leadership Institute is a week long intensive training seminar with top economists, theologians, and teachers pouring into a small group of 30 men and women, future business leaders. Reading through the description of these men and their mission, my heart leaps because their mission and strategy line up with so many of the dreams of my "Mr. Visionary" husband.
Tim worked diligently on his application, which included several essays designed to give these guys a sense of who he is and where he is going. I am SO proud of my husband and everything he has accomplished ... being the first in his family to graduate college, everything he completed thus far in his career, what a wonderful husband and father he is. He is so brave.
Please agree with me in prayer for big time favor for him that he gets accepted to be one of the thirty. It will be a tremendous networking, educational, and inspirational opportunity for him to grow in business and his vision for philanthropy. I know the pool of applicants is three times what they will accept and I know it is comprised of some exceptional and worthy men. It is such an honor to have even been invited.
No matter what happens, I trust the Lord and I am so proud of Tim. But... I would be overjoyed if this is a door that opens for him. xoxo.
** Update ** ... they have increased the class from 30 to 50 ... and have over 200 applicants ...
