We have 3 beautiful orange trees in our backyard. 2 of which give off delicious fruit in abundance, both mandarin and navel - so much that we give a lot of it away to any takers. For some reason this year I've put off juicing as it has seemed like too much work and mess to tackle. And, yet, I've been making hot tea every morning for the big boys with Emergen - C to ward off any winter sickies.
Silly, no? With all this fresh (and free) Vitamin C at our fingertips?!
This morning, I decided to put an end to that nonsense. We all woke up early (after a wonderfully early bedtime last night) and got to work ...
Will was up first and kept me company with his sweet smile. It was hard for him to press the oranges just right to get all the juice out, so mostly he just ate oranges.
Soon after Jared was up and finished the job. He is a champion juicer.
I see much more fresh juice in our future! Yu-um!!
