We celebrated New Year's Eve with a family hike in the Mountain Preserve followed by some awesome naps and a family dinner party, complete with steaks and sparkling cider. We taught to boys how to give toasts and had a fun time toasting just about everything we (and they) could think of.
After dinner it was a quick change into pj's for some hot chocolate and ice cream by the fire and bedtime for the boys.Would you believe that Tim and I stayed up all the way until midnight? Our neighbors came over and we played games and told stories until la-ate! Sans kiddos, no less. Certainly not a wild night by any stretch of the imagination, but truly a great time with some people we love.
