Old friends, sweet friends ...

Today was a busy day ...

After the field trip (and sandwiched between 2 different Craigslists buyers), we enjoyed a sweet visit from some old and dear friends from our Reno/Tahoe days. Tim used to live with Angele Navares and her family just before moving to Tahoe (and spending the rest of his life with me). She's been a dear friend and mentor and I just adore her daughter-in-love (and my good friend, as well), Sarah - who now lives in Gilbert with her cute family.

It was a beautiful day ... despite the cranky one year old on my hip.

Great weather for bouncing on the trampoline - which was enjoyed very much by adorable Joya.

... and great for swinging on the swings.

Love these two ladies. And little Joya-bug. The silly thing about living in the Valley with small kids is that the drive from Moon Valley to Gilbert might as well be the distance from here to California as its hard to figure out how to fit the 40 minute one-way trip into the schedule. It was great to have Angele in town to give us the motivation to make this visit happen.

The great thing, though, about living in the Valley is getting to enjoy beautiful sun-shiney 70 degree days perfect for outdoor visits, kids jumping on trampolines, while mommies sip iced tea and catch up with old friends.
