We splurged and bought tickets to the last Cardinals game of the season as part of a fundraiser for a
little boy we have been praying for. It was definitely a last minute decision, but something we've been wanting to take Jared to, especially, as he has been talking about the Cardinals for a long time now (even though we don't even have cable!). Thanks to my dear friend and neighbor, Christine, we were able to go on this little date with just the two big boys - what a treat!

One of the greatest things about having young kids is just how easy they are to please. The boys have been talking about wanting to ride a school bus and they got their shot today on the shuttle from the parking lot to the stadium. Lucky us!
Jared was so excited!!

Our tickets were on the lower level end zone, so when things were close - they were REALLY close. I have to laugh at Jared's comment when I pointed out the cheerleaders. He said, "Uhh, mom, I think that those cheerleaders' shirts are too small. Their bellies are showing." Lord help me! I'm not sure I even know how to answer that one! It was just another small sign to me that the world is encroaching into our safe little family sphere ...

When things heated up, everyone stood. Its a good thing these two have a strong (and tall) Daddy who held them up so they could see!

Holy cow, what a fun time. High fives, a sea of red, and lots of loud cheering for the Arizona Cardinals. What a fun time and great memory. We had to leave early to pick up Caleb so we didn't get to see the entire game - which turned out to be quite an exciting one at the end too as the Cards won in Overtime.
Such fun to enter new stages of life with these growing boys. Jared is at the stage where he pretty much always has a ball in his hands that he is throwing and catching. He came home from the game and tried to figure out how to watch football on TV - guess we may need to think about how to make that happen over here now... :-)
Jared said with a huge smile that was his favorite part (even though he didn't see it) was that the Cardinals won the game. Love him.
