Date time ...

Today, we dared to send Jared off to another Vacation Bible School - this time at Phoenix First Assembly. All part of the master plan to make another wicked hot summer in Phoenix sail by at a break-neck speed. Jared was nervous to be left again, but I do think he had fun by the end of the 3 hour session.

We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Having Jared at VBS gave me time to do something I rarely get to do ... enjoy one on one time with Will. Granted, I do get the occasional hour here and there when Will wakes up before Jared from naps, but generally all three of us are together all day long.

Today, after dropping off Jared, Will and I went to return some fishing poles to Target and decided to stay for a date. Nothing like a little Starbucks muffin and a juice box to make one happy boy.

So fun.

PS... After our date, Will and I met up with Melinda and Amylynn and headed waaay out west to Dottie's Bosch Kitchen Center to get my nutrimill grain mill, a 50 lb bag of wheat, 4 new loaf pans, and some other goodies so I can start grinding my own grain to make bread. Having been sold on the benefits of baking with fresh ground wheat, both Tim and I have been looking forward to this. I have so admired Melinda and Lisa and the rest of the girls that grind their grain and do all their own baking. Sooo excited to be part of that "club" ;-)

I am meeting up with a dear family friend on Wed that had an older model, extra Bosch bread mixer that she is willing to give me. Such an answer to prayer. I'll report back how the baking goes. Definitely going to be a major upgrade from how I have been making bread for the last six months or so with the Kithchen Aid - woo hoo!

Your date with Will is so sweet! Our kids love when they get one on one time with us. Especially Ryan, who, at 6 years old, really appreciates it when his brother and sister aren't present! He just glows! He holds my hand and looks up and tells me, "I love being with you, Mama." Melt a mom's heart. We need to make this happen on a regular basis!
