As promised ... more pics from Flagstaff's 4th of July weekend fun. I know that I am a prolific picture taker ... it's so hard not to be when the scenery is so beautiful and your kids (and husband) are just so darn cute!
My sweet cousin, Sam Travis, took us fishing at one of the stocked lakes within Forest Highlands. This spot was so beautiful. I'll admit, we were not exactly roughing it ... it is on the 14th hole of the golf course, next to the course's bathrooms, complete with the shaded picnic area and ice/water machine. Being able to wash our hands throughout the day was much appreciated amenity!
We caught at least a dozen fish ... bass, trout, you name it. The fish were loving the night crawlers - you could literally see them circling the worms!
We were sad to finally have to leave to take naps ... we all could have spent several more hours there.
Thanks so much Sam! You were the consummate host.
Pretty much the most perfect day.
