More One on One Time...

Today, after dropping Jared off for his last day of VBS, I met a dear friend at the Phoenix Children's Museum. Although, Debbie and I don't get to see each other nearly as often as we'd like due to our conflicting schedules, today was a rare exception. Our parents were friends growing up, so we have known each other as long as I can remember. Her daughter, Emily, and Will are 6 weeks apart. Precious.

The Museum was a bit crazy with the summer rush, but the kids (and moms) had a fabulous time. We had to keep moving to stay ahead of the mayhem and managed to do just about everything we wanted to by 10:45am ... by that time both kiddos so tired, they fell asleep on the way home!

It's been so special to spend the one on one time with Will this week while Jared has had camp. I definitely plan on staying committed to solo time with my crazy, fun second born son. He really thrives on the attention and I am so happy to give it to him - undivided whenever possible.

We took a breather from the main areas in the "Under 3" room - it is amazing how they take advantage of differing heights and levels. This is a little alcove underneath a bridge of sorts.

Isn't Princess Emily the cutest? The kids had fun planting flowers.

"Ah, so heavy." (Will hears us saying this all the time when we pick him up, its now one of his favorite phrases)

My little stinker ... pretending to eat the split peas in the grocery store - he is always trying to elicit a reaction from someone!

Love this silly boy!

Wow, I had a lot of Barrett stuff to catch up on! I've been gone all weekend with no internet so I'm getting caught up on email and blogs right now ;-)

Love all the pictures! It's so beautiful up there! My in-laws are building a house up north, in Clints Wells area (about a mile northeast of Camp Verde). I can't wait for it to be done so we can go up there and get out of the heat in the summertime.

Yes, you did have some Barrett stuff to catch up on. ;-) I've been on a roll lately, found a cool website to convert the blog to book so I am highly motivated to keep up to date on our memory recording!

Camp Verde area would be AWESOME. We are loving a little respite from the heat, but there is twice as much to do when we get home! ;-)

Hope your summer is going well! How is the dog?
