To give a little background on this one, I should probably explain that we require our kids to say, "Yes, Mommy" or "Yes, Daddy" whenever given a command - reminding them when necessary (which is often). We are trying so hard to teach them to obey the first time, every time, and with a happy heart.
Tonight, after I had just gotten Jared out of the tub and wrapped in a towel, I asked Will to please lift the drain and get the remaining toys out of the tub.
Jared stands over the tub and elaborates, "Will, get that shampoo, that rinse cup, and that ball out of the tub." And to be certain he was heard, he tells his little brother, "Say, 'Yes Bubba.'"
That little stinker.
And, no. I didn't let Jared get away with it.
